​Although most people choose therapy only because they are struggling in some way, the choice always creates the potential for greater fulfillment or peace in our lives. Mistakes, failures, losses, conflict –all of the difficulties we try to avoid—can actually place us on a truer path toward happiness. The path may be steep and long, but almost always results in a better view of oneself and others. Dr. Musello offers the following services for adults and families: Individual therapy using an eclectic approach Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT) for mood disorders Adult individual Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for problems related to personality Couple’s therapy Parent Guidance therapy Mother/Daughter dyad therapy Trauma treatment using any of the following approaches: Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills training for symptom reduction (including hypervigilance, frequent startle responses and nightmares)—teaching clients how to use Progressive Muscle Relaxation, Meditation & Exercise Agoraphobia Psychological symptoms secondary to a physical illness Where indicated, Dr. Musello works closely with psychopharmacologists and/or homeopathic experts to provide the most effective treatment of clients whose diagnosis is biologically-based.
